u guys make me sick |
every time it's the same as spitting (I know ashes) on his grave and in the face of every dead head there ever was - what's the other argument? - I know some (Dire?) have said he is honoring his old friend - every 72 hours? - it's a disgrace.

I've seen Dog, enjoyed the show except someone dosing' my drink and smoking in your face at a California bar. At least the dude's out having fun. All the legal hassles and other B.S. is far from me, but money can spoil the music,milk,phish,panties,water,dope,love,peace, and the future of the children. Why should we turn or back on our brothers over a couple of cords, unless they live in a stacked house of cards or a crooked house of cards.....Nobody remembers granny and the shoe ? Think there's a dog in that story too. So will Rover take over and give her a bone of his own ?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm a Deadhead and Weir sure as shit isn't spitting in MY face.
I could care less if Ratdog plays "Dark Star" 10 times a day and throws in a few bars of "Jive Talkin'" right in the middle of it. What's it to me? I mean, I'm as aware as anyone about how passionate we are about this band, but it's music- it's supposed to be fun.

The Dead have always played other peoples music. You didnt hear Dylan crying every time the dead played Masterpiece. Bobby can play whatever song he feels like playin...

Plus, in the olden days, the Dead used to play Dark Star approximately every 72 hours too. It wasn't always the cherished rarity that it became.

thank god the majority of you have taken the opposite view as ducats has taken.
smi2les - i think you did as well although i got kinda confused with your verbiage ;)
bob has numerous times mentioned, he feels jerry's spirit on stage when he plays and that is a major reason why he does his songs - good enough reason for me (plus they sound good too)
ducats - you want to respond with the capitalist, money grubbin argument - feel free - maybe that is part of it too - i choose to look at the glass as half full unlike yourself in this particular circumstance.
kudos to the rest of you who stood up for Ratdog in this post - they are keeping the spirit alive!!!!
